Righto...the van'll soon be back on the road and we've been speaking to the VRT people in Donegal Town.  They won't register the van as a camper because when the poptop is in the lowered position, you don't have 1.8m headroom.  They've said they'll register it as a 'van with side windows'.  Does this have any implications?

Only road tax implications, but as it's over 30 years it doesn't really matter.

Not sure, that seems to be down to the broker.. my westy was reg'd as a motor caravan but taxed vin/vet.

Fully comp. insurance was never a problem... it was €280 IIRC.

I think the Eircooled insurance deal covers campers now, ...not that I care - campers are for hippies.  Tongue
